Sylvia has more than fifteen years of extensive corporate communications, customer service and project management experience with various service industry pioneers and leaders in the following sectors:

  • Academic sector (Asian Institute of Management and Ateneo de Manila University)
  • Financial Services sector (Professional Academic and Pension Plans)
  • Manufacturing sector (Eastland Manufacturing)

She shifted to training and consultancy after she was invited by TESDA to serve as one of its English Language Trainers in 2006. During her three-year contract at the TESDA-QC Lingkod Bayan Skills and Development Center in Fairview, she successfully helped almost 400 out-of-school youth, returning and outbound OFWs and economically-challenged individuals become confident English speakers and writers. This eventually helped them become gainfully employed locally and overseas. As a TESDA trainer, she was consistently rated as “Excellent” by her students in the English Language and Finishing Course for Call Center Agents.

Since 2008, Sylvia has been affiliated with South East Asia Speakers and Trainers Bureau Inc., a respected training and consultancy service provider with a 29-year proven track record.  She is sought after as the Bureau’s Events Planning and Management trainer as well as one of its most effective English Language Proficiency, Effective Business Writing, and Oral Communication trainers. Under the Bureau, she has designed and implemented training programs for industry giants such as Toyota, AXA Life Philippines, Sun Life Financial, San Miguel Packaging, PNOC, Landbank, Megalink, Getz Bros., and Getz Pharma, among others.

During her student days, Sylvia was a student leader and a publications editor. She is a Business Management graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University, major in Legal Management with additional courses in marketing, industrial psychology and foreign languages.

She received recognition for her professionalism and excellent work from the companies she worked for and was recognized as one of the “Top Young Professionals” by the Rizal Commission on the Youth and the Young Achievers Foundation during the commemoration of the 1998 Philippine Centennial in Malacañang.
