It is in our character as a people to maintain smooth interpersonal relationships with our staff, superiors, and colleagues. Thus, in the presence of discord or conflict, we often do many things such as:

1. Keep quiet hoping the issue will go away on its own;
2. Sugarcoat it to make the conflict smaller than it really is;
3. Gossip with others looking for sympathy; and
4. Over-react to stifle the problem before it balloons out of control.

As we already know, none of those measures helps to heal or preserve the synergistic harmony in the workplace. Thus, we exist in a stew of quiet frustration and emasculation until we feel we can no longer tolerate the problem and … explode. This quite naturally leads to feigned or genuine surprise from the clueless and the involved. Inasmuch as we see real ownership for the conflict belonging to others, often we own some measure of it ourselves.

This practical one-day training program is designed to provide its learners a logical conversation tool that allows all of us to bridge the gnawing gap between being perceived as overbearing/biased or being tolerant to a fault.

Course Objectives
By the end of this two-day workshop, the participants will be able to:

1. Identify where and how communication can be repaired and restored to useful dialogue;
2. Enumerate and understand the speaking tools usable in those communication struggles; and
3. Use the techniques to motivate, correct, and negotiate effectively with team members.

Meet Your Trainer

Dino H. Santos, DTM

Dino Santos knows how to bring fun, learning and inspiration together in all his seminars/workshops. People always respond enthusiastically to Dino’s substance-rich and energizing presentations. After each training program, participants bring with them fresh perspectives, skills, techniques, and strategies which they could immediately apply to positively impact not only their professional but also their personal lives.

Dino believes that learning should be fun and that people learn the most in an atmosphere of fun.

He is the quintessential Trainer/Presenter. His exposure to public speaking began early in grade school by joining and winning numerous awards in speaking contests. His speaking skills were sharpened even more when he joined the Toastmasters and, at a young age of 28, became a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). His training and leadership skills were further honed when he worked as the Manager for Instructions of the Executive Training Institute of the Philippines, the local franchise holder of the Dale Carnegie Courses.

In 1990, he joined forces with his dynamic mom and mentor, Dina H. Loomis, to establish the South East Asia Speakers and Trainers Bureau, Inc. With his training prowess, in no time at all, he became a sought-after trainer for Presentation Skills, Public Speaking, Teambuilding, Customer Service, Voice Development, and Training the Trainers.

His list of delighted clients is too long to list; therefore, a select list of his most staunch clients appears here: Amkor Technology Phils., AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical Phils., BCDA, BPI, DOST, GlaxoSmithKline, Globe Telecom, Green Cross, House of Representatives, Napocor, NEDA, NXP Semiconductors (formerly Philips), PAGCOR, PDIC, Philips Electronics & Lighting, Inc., PNOC Exploration Corporation, Sunpower Corp., TESDA, Transco, Unilab, Wyeth Phils., and Zuellig Pharma.

He is often at the heart of many corporate Toastmasters Clubs as they are organized to benefit the participants who attend his Presentation Skills and Public Speaking Workshops. This he does as a value-added service to clients who wish to invest in their people’s development through this type of support system.

He also taught at De La Salle – CSB as Guest Trainer on the topic of Instructions and Presentation Methodologies.

His desire to share his public speaking ability has led him to render coaching services to Rotarians, aspiring politicians, pastors and priests believing, as he does, that people in leadership positions should communicate well to become inspiring leaders and movers of men.
